THE BOWER POOL AND SURROUNDS

The Bower’s perfectly round, mineral swimming pool is Taliah’s favourite part of the entire Bower compound. Her goal was to create a slice of heaven in the middle of the property for everyone to enjoy. An unforgettable pool, easily accessible from every Bower accommodation option and, working with her team of exceptional creatives, including architect John Burgess and landscaper Daniel Kemp, the vision was realised.

The heated, natural mineral pool delivers a luxury, rejuvenating, relaxing swimming experience, with softer, silkier, clearer water. It’s gentler on the skin and gentler on the environment.

The pale grey concrete terrace surrounding the pool, blends seamlessly with the soft blue/green glass bead internal pool finish, making the pool appear to be carved out of its surrounds. And the sweeping, gently curved steps and shallow beach area is the place to sit and chill and immerse yourself in the quiet and calm of another sun-soaked Byron day.

There’s a zen-like outdoor rain shower nestled into the tropical garden which is abundant with Heliconias, Kentia, Bangalow, Rhapis and Cabbage palms and one very majestic Canary Island palm which sits like a giant sentinel at the entrance to the pool gate.

Then there is the stately Garden Bar and the sumptuous day beds. These individual private booths, separated by tables and billowing sheer black curtains, have seats covered in soft, water-proof upholstery with backrests inclined just so. They sit under a striking black canopy emblazoned with the distinctive Bower logo which references the imposing awnings on the buildings in the The Bowery in NY that provided the inspiration for our 5 star luxury compound.
