LIFESTYLE: Sustainable Styling for your Summer Soiree with I Love Linen

A WALK ALONG BYRON'S ICONIC BEACHES IS ALL IT TAKES TO REMIND US THAT BETTER TOMORROWS LIE AHEAD BUT IT WILL TAKE US ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IT'S WHY WE;RE BEEN THINKING ABOUT EVERY ELEMENT OF DAILY LIFE IN WHAT IS NATURE'S WONDERLAND AND WHAT WE CAN DO TO SUSTAIN IT FOR US AND FUTURE GENERATIONS AND DECIDED IT STARTS WITH THE SMALL STUFF. WE'RE STARTING AT THE PICNIC SET!

Let's face it. Modern life is so much easier for us than generations gone by and much of that comes from access to disposable this and that, starting with single use plastics. Use it. Chuck it. So because so much about Byron is spending time on its pristine beaches, we're upgrading the picnic set. No more disposable plastic cutlery, plates and cups, single use tablecloths and napkins.  Instead we're taking inspiration from I Love Linen's summer beach soiree set up.  Why wouldn't we? We use I Love Linen products in every single Byron Beach Abode from their mattress toppers and bed linen to towels and napkins and for good reason.  It's their quality, their colour range, their design aesthetic.  So now it's time to incorporate it into the picnic basket.

It will start with an elegant white linen tablecloth, laden with a grazing platter inspired by Elise Loprette from The Poor Girls Pantry, and maybe a soda with some watermelon and mint from our summer drinks inspo.  Then we'll be adding some soft ochre napkins, a wooden platter and hand-made pottery drinking vessels. Some woven pouffes and we're ready to watch the sunset over the Hinterland from Main Beach.

Sustainable. Stylish. And if you're at Byron, just perfect!

I LOVE LINEN SUMMER SOIREE

ONE FRIDAY AFTERNOON

We made our way down to the local cove at Currumbin Alley to celebrate the new year as a team. Surrounded by dreamy French linen we created the perfect insta-worthy beach picnic to inspire you for your next soiree. We stuck to classic, tonal hues to complement the beauty of our natural surrounding and enlisted the help of some local friends to tie the look together.

STYLING TIPS

Our White French linen table cloth was the perfect base for our Blush & Ochre napkins. This provided a blank canvas for the colours in the food, dried florals and linen to shine.

We acquired dried florals form our favourites @theborrowednursery and a scattered assortment of seasonal fruits.
