OUR STORY

Taliah & Sein Lowry, Founders

Byron Beach Abodes (BBA) is a partnership and a passion. From the get-go our projects have been influenced by our love of design, travel, family, and the sometimes even greater love of coming “home”.

It has blossomed into something very special. For us BBA is not a brand, it is work in progress, always taking us somewhere unexpected. At the start, each project is an entirely fresh canvas for our ideas yet when finished they each add to a blueprint of how we like to live. We want to offer our guests an experience of the kind of places and rooms that we would like to stay in as we travel the country and the world.

"From our very first renovation project, The Cottage, to our latest, The Bower we have not followed some grand business plan or even a dream. Ideas arise, properties present themselves, we get inspired and we just keep moving with it, saying yes. That’s how BBA has evolved: organically."

The pace has surprised us more than anything else and it’s raised huge challenges on every level along the way, yet each of those has served to refine and distill a sense of where we could go next.

We feel so lucky. Early on we decided that if we were to continue diving into new projects, we didn’t want to fret about time away from our boys, instead we include them in this journey and the travels that help inspire our projects and that makes every decision a lot easier.

In these few years we have also been so blessed with the participation of extraordinarily creative, positive people. We are so proud of our team and what we have achieved and so excited about what we have yet to create together.
