THERE'S NO QUESTION THAT BYRON BAY IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES IN AUSTRALIA TO WATCH A GLORIOUS SUNRISE. YOU CAN SPEND DAYS ON END CHECKING OUT THE PRISTINE BEACHES OR GETTING LOST IN THE BEACHSIDE CULTURE, SHOPS AND LOCAL MARKETS.

But let's be honest, nothing happens without a good cup of coffee to kick the day off. And if you're anything like us, you'll live by the mantra that life is too short to drink bad coffee. So where in Byron Bay do you find a good cuppa? We've got you covered.

Sunday Sustainable Bakery: Artisan bakery treats and some amazing coffee. What better way to start the day?

Bay Leaf: Always buzzing with people craving great food and even better coffee. They're open for breakfast and lunch every day but sometimes getting a table is a bit tough so a takeaway is always a good option.

Combi: Fair trade coffee made with organic milk or house-made nut milk - you can have your coffee and feel good about yourself at the same time. They've also got a great stock of raw clean treats.

Top Shop: A Byron Bay institution, Top Shop is the perfect place to grab some great coffee and one of their sensational Acai Bowls or a brekky roll and sit out on the grassy knoll watching the world go by. A trip to Byron is not complete without a visit to Top Shop and it's just a stones throw from our Chapel, Cottage and Magnolia House

Sparrow: Definitely one of the best coffee options in Byron. Don't let their unassuming little shopfront fool you, Sparrow serves up some awesome pastries and coffee to get your day started well.

Keen to get out and explore the beaches and quaint little villages instead of staying local? Don't sweat, you can still get your coffee fix.

The Farm: This place is next level. Much more than just a coffee shop, The Farm is an 86 acre property with the ultimate farm to table dining experience. Everything they serve is either grown on their own property or sourced from local farmers. Even if you're not planning a trip out of town, the food and coffee are definitely worth the trip. Highly recommend their pancakes!

Shelter: The ultimate beachside cafe in the beautiful little surf village of Lennox Head. This place has a great vibe with the surf break of 7 Mile Beach literally metres from the wide open windows that wrap around the venue. Grab a coffee, some amazing food and sit up at the breakfast bar and watch the whales and dolphins play.

Harvest: Take a drive out to the hinterland and stop in at the historic village of Newrybar where you'll find the Harvest Cafe. If you want to sit down for some great food, don't forget to book ahead. Otherwise, visit their woodfired bakery and deli (just next door to the cafe) grab yourself a coffee-to-go and explore the fabulous Newrybar Merchants.
